Truth Graph ™ Board

Congratulations to batch 02 as they are the first group to utilize our Truth Graph ™ Board as part of our POPPPSS(R) Modified Learning Process!

Student impressions:As a first time student of the nursing world, it would not be a stretch when I say I had no real clue as to what would be expected of me. Sure, I’ve finished the long ardous obstacle that is high school and I am no stranger to the college lecture hall, but let me tell you, this was a bit different.

A Modified Nursing Process:Books? Check. Multiple choice tests? Check. Computers? Check (but then again, nowadays any place had better!). Not so modified right? Sounds like most anything else right? Well, this is where the norm stops and no matter how deep of a veteran you are with the state school system, your going to have to start thinking a whole new way. Not to say that anything was radically different from what I had done my previous decade plus of education, but I gotta tell you, it was, for lack of a better word, strange.

My Meeting With POPPPSS(tm):So where was I, strange right? Unfamiliar was the better word but quickly did I become a natural with the program. Before I explain about what exactly is a modified nursing program (or the ardous task of deciphering the POPPPSS acronym), let me just put it out there right now that the beauty in the system is the fact that it is different! There are so many different people from so many backgrounds that any teacher worth his pay must modify, because I can tell you LAUSD is nice but their standards and style just wouldn’t work here. Rather than having the gifted students put on a pedestal (although I do miss it), away from the not so intellectual
